MEET THE AUTHOR
Doug Zipes graduated from Dartmouth College, Harvard Medical School, and Duke University Medical Center. He is on the editorial board and writes a health column for the Saturday Evening Post, is editor-in-chief of two cardiology journals, and has published nearly nine hundred medical articles and sixteen cardiology textbooks. He is the author of four novels, a memoir, and multiple short stories. His first novel, “The Black Widows,” was a Foreword Reviews Book of the Year finalist. Dr. Zipes and his wife have three children, five grandchildren, and live in Carmel, Indiana, and Bonita Springs, Florida. He dedicates “Bear’s Promise” to brave law enforcement men and women all over the world.
